The Handsome Man’s Deluxe Café by Alexander McCall Smith

The Handsome Man's Deluxe Café by Alexander McCall Smith

This novel is the fifteenth book in the No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency series, set in Gaborone, Botswana. I found this book to be a very good addition to the series.

As the book opens, Mma Precious Ramotswe, the owner of the No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency, gets a case in which an brother and sister from India need to determine the identity of another woman (also Indian) who has amnesia. Meanwhile, Mma Grace Makutsi, who is now the Junior Manager of the business, is about to open up a restaurant, despite having no experience in restaurants. And Mr. J. B. L. Matekoni, the owner of Tlokweng Road Speedy Motors (and the husband of MMa Ramotswe, whose detective agency is in the same building as the garage) will have to fire one of his apprentices, as he cannot afford to continue paying them both.

I very much enjoyed this entry in the series, and I again look forward to reading the next book in the series.
