Since my college days (back when phones were permanently tied to the wall) I have enjoyed reading this yearly periodical; and I very much enjoyed reading this year’s edition.
The Old Farmer’s Almanac is chock full of information and trivia. While I can get sunrise and sunset times and moonrise and moonstone times from my smartphone, it’s nice to have something not connected to the Internet that can do the same thing. The Almanac also can tell me how to compute the heat index, how to save the seeds from one’s tomatoes to plant next year, when to set hens, and what I can substitute when I do not have brown sugar on hand for a recipe.
I have all the Almanacs from 1979 through 2015 on my bookshelves (I still have the 2016 Almanac hanging on the nail), and in the fullness of time this edition will join all the others on the shelf.
